That the parents at the daycare I work at, only like me because they think I am very young as in 18-19? I keep worrying that if they knew I was 29 and single, they might think differently about me and that makes me really sad. Someimes I think people only like me in general as they think I am a sweet teen

Hello, Jenni855. Anything is possible. My question is why are you concerned about something that is not and may never be a problem?
I wish you well. |

Because people will never like me for me, the true me. It is almost like I am living a lie. Presenting an image which I have no control over and which isn't me. I can't help that I look like a teen but that is how I am viewed.

Maybe it's not how you look, it's maybe because they feel you're young at heart, and like you for it.

What is more important here, is do you like you? How do you feel about being 29? I see 29 as being wonderfully young--adult, but still young and vibrant. Single is a choice that also has marvelous possibilities. I encourage you to appreciate the real you. There are some people who have an unhealthy interest in young girls. I would avoid those people as their interest is not to your benefit. |

I honestly look 16 and am soon to be 29. I worry that people only like me ans think I am sweet as I am a teen or very early twenties. If they knew my real age and how behind I am in life, they would think differently or be surprised in a bad way.

I have friends that range in age from 25 to 55. It's not the age, or their life circumstances that I like them for. It's their personalities. I'd be willing to bet that the ladies at the day care don't care how old you are. You seem to be a kind, sweet person and that is what really matters, and what they would like about you. I wouldn't worry about it.
I know where you are coming from, because I sometimes worry what others think about me, but what I've learned in life is that people *in general* are friendlier and more accepting than I perceive them to be.
