I feel so numb right now. I went to the ER last night because I was SIing and having bad thoughts, waited three hours, saw a crisis nurse and a psychiatrist. He said I might have Bipolar but he said it was on the low end of the spectrum. I think he's wrong and I have BPD since my other pdoc told me I had traits of it. They read out all my records to me. I just feel so numb and confused from the whole experience. I texted my therapist about it all and she hasn't responded yet. I just need some hugs right now

Sometimes the ER is the worse place to be when feeling depressed. Try having a nice cup of hot chocolate and read a nice book instead. Then text your therapist for an emergency appointment if possible. Some times bad thoughts will pass, if you take care of yourself, and treat your self to some comfort, instead of the bright glare of the ER.
Thanks for this!

Yeah, my T finally responded to me later this morning. I made an appointment with her so we can talk about it. The hospital made me pretty anxious. Usually the thoughts do go away, but this time I acted on them. I've noticed a shift from happy to down/depressed recently. I'm interested in hearing what my T has to say...

Hi Nym, so sorry you are went through that. It is a scary place to be. I just wanted to say that sometimes it is hard for docs to diagnose from just one visit so try not to worry about it too much. You're very brave for going through all this. I hope you are feeling better soon.
