I was told at one point in my life that eighty percent of anger is hurt....
I agree with that at times, but I also feel that there is percentages of guilt, despair, loneliness and heart ache.

I agree with you. I, also, believe there is joy, and happiness, it's just sometimes hidden by the other stuff. I was told a long time ago that my anger turned inward was part of my depression and a lot of that anger was definitely hurt.

I agree with you.

I hope that you can process these emotions.

Therapy might be useful to enable you to do this, if your not already seeing a psychologist.

I'm right there with you!!!! Most of my anger is hurt from being abandoned. I see a therapist once every two weeks and we are working on sorting out those feelings. I use to not be able to even say I was hurt, it was always just I'm angry or pissed. So it's great that we can actually identify our emotions instead of categorizing them into just one!!!

I am actually seeing a therapist once a week and a case manager for many different things. Its a slow process.
There is happiness and joy in my life at times. focusing now on myself and coping skills
