I made a little cookbook thread on a forum I'm on, and it's just going to crap. It was supposed to be a positive thread and it's just gotten negative and I don't know how to deal. Do I just let the thread drop, do I ignore it, do I respond and try to make it lighthearted. I don't know what to do

If it were me, I would probably try to turn it around. But if if is too much of a downer, I would let it go.

Bullies and Trolls do that. They are controlling your thread now. That is all they want to do. Can you report them to a Moderator? Can you block them from posting in your thread? You can have control, or you can let them have the control. It is your choice.

I'm going to basically second what others above me have already said; it may be worth attempting to take back your control of the thread, whether that be through contacting a moderator or taking things into your own hands (I would personally try moderator). However, if you find it's bringing you further down, or if it's just beyond control, I would advise letting it go.
Is your cookbook thread on a different forum besides PC? If so, perhaps you can make a cookbook thread here on PC? Just a thought. ![]() |
