I think I want to go see a therapist, but I don't know how to tell my parents. I feel like they'd be mad or in denial and not let me... How do I go about talking to them?

(((SLT))) I'm sorry you're feeling depressed. I can't imagine a parent getting mad at their child for reaching out for help. You're experiencing fear and you don't want to let that stop you from getting the help you need. Let one or both of your parents know and see what happens. You can always go to your school counselor and have him/her speak to your parents if you feel you just can't do it. It's very important that you communicate what you're feeling with an adult though. I hope you feel better soon!!!
