How do you explain crying when there is apparently no reason? I was crying a lot yesterday and I thought maybe it might have been loneliness, then I thought maybe it's because I had therapy and I cried in therapy, or maybe it's because I miss my therapist from seeing her yesterday afternoon. I was also feeling quite lonely in general because I am struggling to see how I can make social contacts. I am not normally somebody who cries a lot, but at times I just cry without clear reasons.

When you do cry for no reason are you consistently in a "safe" environment? If so, it simply might be your way of releasing sadness that has been repressed at other times.
I would look at it as yawning (a mechanism for keeping balance). It's a good thing. |

I cry for no reason when I am very tired and struggle with lack of sleep. Then it is just crying from exhaustion. Releasing stress. I am always weepy and teary if I don't get enough sleep. I work a lot.
Are you physically tired? Do you sleep well? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

There is always a reason for crying, even tho we may not know what it is.

I agree there is always a reason, crying is a kind of 'release valve'.
When I had depression I used to wake up crying and had no idea why, it was my bodies way of releasing that overall sad mood I had. |
