Okay, so I was up in the middle of the night eating a snack with the tv on, and nothing was on, so I watched the reflections on the religious station. "I will praise you for I am wonderfully and fearfully made." Psalm 139:14ish

I had thought of bipolar as my defect.

I had thought of that verse as only applying to little kids.

This gives me hope when I have been depressed for a while now. A long while.

Sarah, it seems you are reinterpreting the illness as the blessing. Brilliant insight.

Rumi a 13th century poet says the emotional struggles rather than being a curse are actually a blessing that open us up to new talents and sensitivities that we may not even have been aware of.

"Fear not, for it is I." that has got me through a lot of the troubles of life. That reminder takes away my self concern. And I will dwell in the house of love and compassion forever.

Sarah, wonderful thing you did! you took lemons and made lemonade out of it. Taking something and turning it into something positive is a great turning point to onward and upward. Welcome to PC!
