Did not know what thread to put this in.

I am a feminist so I think women and men should be treated equally.
Than I found a picture that say this "PROTECT HUMAN RIGHTS, STOP FEMINISM" wow just wow because human right 1 is 1.RIGHT TO F****** EQUALITY.

I really don't think most people believe feminism is about equality anymore. The people making that statement might actually want equality but believe feminism is about women getting more rights/superiority etc. and so maybe they're saying that version of feminism could violate human rights. We both know that feminism is about equality. The people against feminism aren't necessarily anti-equality, they're against what they perceive as an attack on and a demonization and hatred of men. So maybe that's the perspective they're coming from.

This article seems to explain what I was trying to say:

In the original definition of feminism, superiority was never even mentioned. It was (and should still be) about giving women the same rights as men and giving them the possibility to live a life that isn't 'controlled' by a man. (e.g husband)
Some radical feminists claim that 'men are all horrible and a burden' and totally alienate people from the real definition of feminism. People then get a distorted image of feminism and associate everyone who wants EQUALITY between the two sexes to a radical movement.
'Feminism' may seem to have another meaning now but the official definition (in dictionaries!) hasn't changed until now and it is about equality.
I would also be angry if I came across such pictures, which seem a bit contradictory anyway.
