I feel like I just go through the motions in life. I laugh when I'm promoted to laugh, show empathy and kindness but I feel like my emotions are no where to be found. I don't cry when I'm sad and when I'm angry it just turns into sadness after awhile. Sadness is the only emotion I can feel. I've always felt that emotion. All the other emotions I've shut down.

It's impossible for me to have a confrontation with someone. I will literally clam up or walk away and avoid people. I can't control my emotions once I let them out. I stopped writing in my
Journal because I was starting to scare myself with my writings. I probably should seek counciling...

I'm sorry that you're feeling like you're shutting down. It sounds like counseling may be a good option for you. A good therapist can help you to sort out how your anger is turning into sadness, and can help unlock expression of other emotions.

You can have all of my emotion s. I am really not liking them! In fact I wish they would shut the f@@k up. Anyway counciling would be a good first step.

Oh my, I have felt like that once in my life. Counseling and medications was my way out. I was diagnosed with Bipolar 2 Disorder, also known as Bipolar Depression. Since then, my medications and counseling really helped me. Of course, I will have to stay on meds forever, but through counseling I have learned how to handle things a lot better and get on with my life.

The sooner you get counseling the better. I'm a much better person. I have been going through a lot the past couple months, and I just received some even worse news (on my forum post) and I reached out to others to learn how to cope, and now I'm learning ways to do so. It takes a lot, but it is helpful dealing with issues in your life.

You'll be okay I promise!
