Hi.

I am currently infatuated with a musician I have never met. I have a pattern of becoming infatuated with people who are unobtainable.

I have a queston regarding jealousy. I am very much sexually drawn to this man, and the thought of him being with anyone fills me with jealousy and depression. Even to think of him and his ex-wife depresses me. Even when I see couples and their kids (he has kids) it can make me think of him and get me depressed.

I suffer from major depressive disorder and anxiety. My question is...is the jealousy thing normal?

Thank you so much,

Battered Mind

Jealousy is normal, but not in your case.

Let's face the reality. Even you are infatuated or in love with that guy, you don't have the right to get jealous. He doesn't even know you.

You may want to do the things you are passionate about to shift your focus on him.

Did you visit a therapist? Counselor?

Hi and welcome,

The pattern of attraction to unavailable people is not healthy. You know he's unattainable.

Do you have interest in men who are available to you? Have you had any real relationships?
