I don't know what it is. I have a strong irrational need to be told, just about every day, that "things will be okay" from girls/women. I just feel a lot better after hearing it, even if they don't know what I'm going through at the moment. It's so bad I usually fall in love with the ones who say it to me often (and are moderately attractive). Maybe it's just signs of my dependent personality.

Are you woried about thinks that are under your controll or not? Its allways easier said it will be OK to another person than to yourself. It only works with womens? What if man will tell you something like that?

I don't know if I'm worried about things being under my control, but I do tend to feel hopeless about some things.

Strangely, it only works with women. If a man told me, it wouldn't be nearly as strong to me. I'm not sure why...Am I the only one like this?

Sometimes I think that too, since my mother is not a very affectionate person and likes to nag a lot.

I think you like to be affirmed from someone else who resembles your mother. Try to tell it to yourself if you don't find anyone to tell you that.

Please, my mother would never affirm anyone. It's more like I am looking for affirmation due to the absence of it in my life.
