I am struggling with feeling guilty feelings because in the end I feel wrong. The doctor doesn't fill my prescription on time. I think it is my fault. Kids get up set my fault. Husband unaware of important things it must be because ....and on. The trouble is the pain goes inward and I end up hurting me.

Not everything is your responsibility, and you don't have control over everything. Try your best, and accept the results.

I think this stems from some negative core beliefs about yourself. May I recommend looking into CBT? If you can't find a program I recommend a book on the therapy. Paticularly, one that is structured like a day-at-a-time journal.

Hi
One idea that the Buddhist have regarding this is that is good to feel the consequences of our responsibility; but if something comes bad or something results wrong, we need to feel bad about that just 3 seconds and thats it I still don't achieve the 3 seconds, but I try to hold the guilt no more than 10 seconds. Hopefully I can reduce these seconds later This idea is based on the principle that life is so short to living suffering and because the compassion, in order to be compassionate with others you need to be compassionate with yourself first And is based as well with Buddhist thought about don't be stucked in the past ![]() |

Knowingthe difference between OUR stuff and THEIR stuff is a big key. Think about what just happened and then decide who it belongs to.
