I am terrified of emotions because they are too much to handle at times. I avoid situations that may have intense emotions because I break down. I dont understand how to handle them.

I have been recently diagnosed as Bipolar 2, but I was wondering, could this be symptoms of autism?

Hi,

I have autism. It certainly could be an autism thing. People on the autism spectrum sometimes have meltdowns because emotions or sensory issues are too much to handle. I'd see a professional.

Also, you might want to check out https://www.aspiescentral.com. The forums there have some good information on autism.
Thanks for this!
