I am lonely. Like, physically and emotionally. My best friend has a girlfriend now. I'm just having a hard time right now. He's not around much anymore. i feel much better around people. I deleted my OkCupid profile (dating site), because it was more trouble than it was worth, honestly. But I do wish for a special someone. I'm also pretty depressed. I see my nurse in a couple weeks, so I will tell her. Could be hormonal.

Do you live alone? If so maybe you could adopt an animal like a dog or cat to keep you company.

It's hard when someone close to us 'couples up' and disappears off the radar for a while, it's normal to feel the gap as you are. It's a change in dynamics and is an adjustment, so give yourself extra kindness as you adapt.
I think staying busy and around others is often helpful, are there some other people you can hang out with? Maybe you could look to joining a hobby group? Take care, and be kind to yourself. |

I know what loneliness is like. Do you have hobbies, a special place you like to visit? When I'm feeling this way I try to distract myself. I have seriously considered adopting a cat or some kind of pet. Animals are therauptic and loyal companions.

Thanks for the responses. I am still not feeling well. I have an appointment with my nurse tomorrow now. So grateful. I live with my parents, but maybe someday I will move out, and get a dog
