My mother was diagnosed with cancer this month.
It seems I always return to this site once a year now.
I'm so different then when I first arrived here.
I was about 16 when I came here, now I'm 21.
I don't know why I'm back.
I guess that seems like an obvious answer, but it's never quite that simple.

So sorry to read about your mom's health. How is she? Her prognosis?
Good to have you back

It's not obvious to me. The reason why you're back.

I've only had one family member who was diagnosed with cancer. Or any other sort of terminal illness. An uncle. It was one of those "better come quickly if you want to see him" cancers. My dad, thank God, was still alive then and he made it to be with his oldest brother when he died 4 days later.

Of course you'd be different from 16 to 21. And I'm more from the "it's never quite that simple" school than the "seems like an obvious answer."

So many questions. The prognosis, type, location, etc., of the cancer?

Your relationship with your mom?

And what you feel now? You haven't said anything about your feelings.

Possible trigger:

Call back and open up a bit if you're able.

I am very sorry. My mom had stage 3 colon cancer last year with long chemo. They are now monitoring in hopes it won't come back. But her recent tests weren't good and we are on pins and needles. It's never easy. Be there for your mother, stay positive and strong for her and all of you
