I am dealing with a lot of fear over my angina which I have to go to hospital to get checked out,I will probably have to go on the treadmill and have my heart rate measured while I exercise and have a radioactive dye injected to show up my arteries.
I also am having period pains even though I have gone through the menopause and the doctor says I have to have tests to rule out cancer. The hospital has already sent me appointments for next week.Monday I have an ultrasound and camera going inside me and next Friday morning another camera inside me and a biopsy I think it is called a hysteroscopy. Then I wait for the results and they tell me what is going on.
I am afraid I have something that is going to kill me.Then again I was asked by the CPN if I was worried or scared and I said I was at first but now I said it is in God's hands and whatever happens is down to him and I will accept it.And in a way I do feel that way but I get times when I am so so scared of death.

Oh well I will find out soon.I don't know but my angina may be being caused by low oestrogen so when I go to the heart clinic I will mention to them.I read in a heart foundation booklet there is a condition called cardiac x syndrome. That happens when in the menopause.I don't know I guess the doctors will find out.

Gee, that is scary. I've been through similar, but different, of course. I can't know exactly how you feel. I'm still perimenopausal, but have terrible uterine cramping from endometriosis and adenomyosis, plus a few other things like polyps and fibroids. It could be as simple as a fibroid or polyp, lets hope. Maybe something like adenomyosis could cause your uterus to contract post menopause, but at least it's curable, even if it does require surgery. I've had a hysteroscopy for a uterine abnormality and its relatively simple, so that's good. I know how scary it is, that I do. And there's nothing anyone can say to ease that, but I always tell myself I'd rather just know what I'm dealing with, so I can take appropriate action, rather than keep guessing and worrying. That's just me, maybe. But it feels good to at least be moving forward is what I figure.

I've also had nasty chest pain that sent me in for all manner of tests, ekg's, holter moniters... Ugh. Turns out it was costochondritis, which is a simple, if very painful, injury of the cartilage between the ribs and sternum. No more going for jogs for me. Lol. Too top heavy. Talk about a relief, though. Still, I was so glad I did the tests, so I knew.

I'm glad you are getting things checked out. It's best to be safe. And you seem to have a wise attitude about it. Putting it in God's hands is sometimes all you can do besides going to the doctor. For what it's worth, I'll be praying that you health issues are relatively harmless and that the pain you are dealing with just melts away.

Well thanks for your concern and support Pandoras, the truth is I have had fibroids diagnosed in the past but had no trouble with them before,it could be them playing up now,I don't know,I just told the doctor I had been through the menopause and got bad period pains one night,so bad I had to take paracetemol and just a faint spot of blood and he said I had to get checked out for cancer.Which when you hear that you think the worse.
And the angina is an long time since 2008 and it stopped for years and started again around the beginning of this year which is why I wondered if it is linked to the menopause.
I am sorry you went through that with the painful chest and ribs.Yes,you are right it is best to know what we are dealing with especially down below.I hope I don't need an operation like a hysterectomy.I live alone and I hear you need six weeks with no exertion or heavy lifting and there is no one else can do my chores.
We will soon find out.I will keep this thread updated. Thanks again for your interest Pandora!
