Hi all I had a pretty bad day today ,i wrote a letter to my friend asking if we could hangout again and he got the letter and the teacher said we could just wave and not really talk anymore. i crashed in into tears in front of the teachers. i told them i wanted 500mg of prisquit. don't know why i chose that for and i basically asked for a counselor inside of school. i will be seeing my Pdoc in a few weeks from now and thinking about asking him to upgrade it again to 120mg ,he just upgrade it to 60mg

Hello detour1: Hope you're feeling better today. I can only tell you I was on the maximum recommended dosage of Cymbalta for a year or two. I had virtually no side effects. It was the best antidepressant, for me, I've tried.

I'm on Cymbalta, 30mg. At first it was 20mg.
In the beginning of my illness I was on Prozac 40mg. It helped some yet I've felt this weird sense that it's not for me as in not really working.
Well, in December, 2014 I landed in the hospital dued to passing out at home, and after various tests they found a couple of huge blood clots in my lungs. I told them I'm on Prozac, 40mg, and they began giving me another antidepressant. Yep, it was Cymbalta. They said they didn't have any Prozac. (Right. A hospital without Prozac. Right. Tell me anything).
Anyway, feeling I can't fight it, I took it and the results were amazing! I began feeling calmer, on course, and sorta in charge of things. Clearer.
It was, and still is, amazing! Yeah, I still have bipolar and all that it entails, yet it's different, somehow. I LOVE IT!! When I act up, I'm able to get back on course quicker and easier.
My psychiatrist said the brain has four parts (warning: I'm not explaining this right) that has to do with mental health. Prozac handles only two. Cymbalta, on the other hand, handles all four parts.
That's why with Prozac I felt out of sorts still. Cymbalta helps me to stay grounded.
But, at the same time, I want to be even more grounded so I've been thinking of asking to up the dose to 40 or 60mg.
