I'm addicted to Facebook because it gives me the attention I am craving. I know I am a smart girl that's beautiful and has so much potential but I am just stuck behaving like this I need hugs. I feel so empty it hurts

Perhaps your need for attention - hopefully positive attention - is filling a well that's been dry for too long?

Yes, I was emotionally neglected because my parents were always fighting.

If you feel this addiction is causing a problem I suggest reviewing your friends list to make changes. I would suggest starting with deleting anyone you have never met in person. This should reduce the volume of the feed on the page making it less necessary to check it frequently. Though it may be surprising, this will result in some freedom too.
Thanks for this!
