Okay so I decided when the counselor called me today to just tell her I am doing great.

She believed me.

I told her I was using CBT. That I made a great vegan pizza over the weekend. That I didn't use alcohol to cope (I have done that in the past but now am abstaining) and that I am getting out, and applying for jobs blah, blah, blah. (All of this is true.)

So I guess she believes that a person can - in one week's time - go from being suicidally depressed to being just great.

So now I think I will just continue to do the "I'm doing just great," experiment.

I have stopped day sleeping which is great.
I sleep soundly all night which is great.
I am eating more vegan which actually feels great.
I am wearing make-up and jewelry and a new hair style even though I am just at home, which is, I guess, kind of great.
I am not medicated which for me is great.

Great, great, great.

Just say you are great. Maybe you will actually fool yourself.
