I know that I am not the only one to feel like this but time seems to go so much faster as I get older.....I honestly don't know how time gets away from me. I am feeling like I don't care about things much anymore and am starting to see my life now how it really is...feels hopeless and not worthwhile....how do I get good feelings back. I am in therapy and also on meds but can't seem to be happy about anything....

Sorry you feel this way. You're right, you're definitely not the only one. Depression definitely doesn't help..

Depression lies. You are worthwhile.

Thank you. It is hard to quiet the voice in my head that I am worthwhile. Self esteem building is HUGE and social media and comparing myself to other people doesn't help..I seem to know all this stuff yet still do it!

It is funny..I know that I am worthwhile in my conscious brain but everything else is telling me that I am only good for working and that nothing else is really making any impact at all.

Those bad feelings about yourself are just imprints from your past. That will fade in time.

I think we are raised in a society that says "you must work or you have no value." And while this is completely untrue, it's hard to unlearn. Maybe try doing things you once enjoyed, to see if you can still get enjoyment out of them. Or talking with a friend or family member. I hope you feel better soon.

I wish I had answers, I just wanted to say you are not alone in feeling this way... I hope we both can come to terms with these uncomfortable feelings about life.

Thanks,

(((Delta)))

I had a "my life is slipping away" attack last week--I was reading some Thich Nhat Hanh about being in the moment or whatever and all I could think about is how much I avoid being in the moment because it hurts so much.
