My ex texted on my birthday

Wished me luck in finding someone new, and said happy birthday (that was yesterday). I did have a good birthday, went on a eh date the day before. But it's hard to move on with him still contacting me. The date guy was too forward kissed me when he met me, it freaked me out. Than during the course of the date said some things that put me off, so no to that guy.

Went out with friends for my birthday one wants to set me up with his brother, another has a guy in mind to set me up with (like her choice better, I think). Only she lost contact with him so has to reestablish a connection. The friend is a guy who once tried to date me, now wants to set me up with his brother. My mom says his brother is cute but messy, give it a shot. She knows his family doesn't really get along with his mom that well but helped her out after her stroke. He's been wanting to set me up with his brother for years, says at least I'll make a new friend out of it. So that eases the pressure. I told him to give him my number, see if I hear from him. I remember at Thanksgiving not hitting it off once.

Well it kind of makes me laugh inside really. He wants me in the family. LOL

Now he contacted me to tell me he met someone in a nearby town at the bar. I know I shouldn't care but I do. I'm sad. I did love him.

I'm sorry. If it hurts you, you might consider the possibility of blocking him. Or even simply tell him that it's over, and that you would prefer not receive contact from him. This way you'll be able to move on, perhaps...

I told him I can't be friends with him and to stop texting me. I'm sure he will stop.
