My H and I are very angary with our HOA, and the past, and President of the HOA. I picked up our male yesterday, and there were bills in it saying we owe a lot of money for the property we bought 2 years ago at a tax sale. This year I payed all our dews from the time we bought it at the tax sale, and the HOA is saying that we have to pay what the prevous owner owed, and that is a few thousand dollars. By law, in this state, the HOA can't collect for dews that the past owner owed. We are feeling that we are being harassed about this. We are going this morning to see our lawyer. I down loaded some legal things I found on line that states the HOA don't have a leg to stand on, and if they keep giving us trouble, we may be able to sew the HOA, and it's Presidents. My H called the last , and the present President of the HOA, and was very angry to them on the phone. This has been very stressful for me, from the time we bought the land next to us, at the tax sale. Before we bought it, and before I read that it wasn't our responseability to pay someone elses back dues, I went to one of the HOA's meetings, and was told, and given the bills for the pass due bill. I down loaded what I found on line, and will show the lawyer that, and all the paper work we have. This is a lot of stress! So far this morning has been so very stressful, with the nightmare I had, and having to fight the HOA about the past dues, and some of these people, we thought were our friends!

When we bought this house, we didn't know that there was a HOA. We found out after we put the down payment on it.
