I've never experienced this before. Being just sad I mean. I have always experienced extreme emotions. It was never just sad it was being drowned and overcome by the pain. It normally triggers depressive feelings.

Here I am just sad for a variety of reasons which are all valid. It hurts, but I also know it will pass. It feels so good to be starting to experience what i think are "normal" feelings.

So I'm sad, but I'm excited about it.

I’m sorry you are sad but happy for you that you know they have A valid reason for existing. Keep on keeping on!

It's actually curious to me that you chose that song. I'd love to know why. I'm not upset or anything.

Being sad is a perfectly normal and human reaction. Be glad that you can feel sadness, because that means that you can feel joy, too!

Wow, I love this. I can so relate. I used to feel like if I let myself feel sad, I would just spiral into catastrophizing and thinking about worst case scenarios. But everyone gets sad! And like you sad, there are valid reasons to be sad, so just feel it and let it pass.
Thanks for this!

It sounds promising to say you are sad for a reason versus feeling overcome with pain and not necessarily for a real reason.
