I overheard my dad and his friend talking once while I was in my room and they said they've been noticing that I have a dominance problem and that even my grandma has been noticing it. This was over a year ago. I just wanted to ask what that meant because I think I definitely have that issue with people. Hearing this and thinking about it makes me think that it has given me more of an understanding about my own psychological state. Maybe someone can give me some information about it. I've been thinking about it for a while now and I just wanted to share that. For some reason I feel uncomfortable talking about this but I'm gonna post it anyways.

It could mean a few things, but considering it was on overheard conversation between your father and your grandmother, I'm going to guess that it wasn't meant in psychological terms. I'm also going to guess that you haven't asked them what they meant? I'm leaning towards needing to be in control? What was the rest of the context? What brought out this conversation between them? I think it's important to bring up the topic with them so that you can reflect on how your personality and/or behaviors affects others or is causing them to talk. If they are even approachable?
I find it curious that this was a year ago and that it has festered in a way of replaying. |

((((ExplodingSun32)))) I'm afraid the only way to know for sure is to ask them. I'm sorry, I know it isn't easy, but it's hard to figure out without contest. What makes you feel uncomfortable?

I think sometimes people can misconstrued things, ExplodingSun56. My initial feeling, going by my own experiences, is that maybe you're the type of person who reacts or responds to comments which you may disagree with, at times? It's my observation that people who simply accept everything they hear, nodding their heads like donkey's, without a reaction of sorts, will tend to look at people who do react or respond, as dominant or whatever other assumption that enters their minds. But their assumptions are hardly ever the case. I like your Van Halen 1 avatar by the way. Very great album. Eddie Van Halen is a historic figure of rock guitar, ha.
