I enjoy my apartment. Have my groups and therapy where I no longer feel overwhelmed. I'm single, broke, but happy. I never thought I could be happy without money or a man but I am. I think it's because I'm pursuing my dreams. I'm enjoying the pursuit. I really only started pursuing them for money which eludes me. But find I'm happy anyway.

I'm so happy for you, Aviza!

I've been in a similar place. Very happy with where I live, the people I live with, my job, having *some* degree of social life (thanks to MeetUp groups), getting back to enjoyable pursuits that fell by the wayside etc.

"Single, broke, but happy". Yup.

It's all about me for the first time in my (many decades of) life. And it's refreshing after always having put absolutely everyone and everything ahead of myself. It's kind of weird/disorienting, but it's nice.

Do you feel that's a part if it for you too?

Yes truly it's like a wake up call. I've always pursued money. I'm happy without it, my needs are met. I have freedom, independence, who knew life could be like this!?

I am, for the most part, happy as well. I love my house and my animals. My job stinks (but don't they pretty much all?) but it pays. My marriage is good enough..... i have many interests.
