It is holding me back from pursuing a healthy relationship. I have really lost myself because of my label. I'm more submissive, too much so. I give parts of myself away too easily, whereas I never did before. How to regain my confidence?

Good questions Aviza. Look at it this way. You are more accomplished than many others despite having a disability. You work, it’s not always easy but you still do. You have your own place even though it wasn’t easy to move out. You have a lot of accomplishments and a lot to be proud about

I COMPLETELY agree with divine1966, Aviza! You've accomplished a lot of things. Be proud of yourself. I understand your feelings. It is not easy to live with a "label" Be kind to yourself and think of your own ambitions and desiders. Stand up for yourself when you feel like it's necessary. Be selfish from time to time and think of your needs as well. Little steps to gain confidence. Most importantly, remember that you're NOT your MI. You are much more than a label. You're a valuable and wonderfuò human being. Please ALWAYS remember that. You are IMPORTANT and you MATTER! YOU KNOW THAT'S TRUE! Please feel free to PM me anytime. We'll ALL ALWAYS be here for you. THAT'S A PROMISE! Sending many safe, warm hugs to you and your daughter, Aviza! YOU BOTH ROCK VERY MUCH!
Thanks for this!
