Sometimes, you just feel so exhausted living life. Why am I surviving here on earth? I might as well just die. Life just seems tiring when you have to go through all these in the 30 years of your life:
1) Difficulties in your career 2) Having to experience a panic attack due to work problems 3) Being treated like a doormat by colleagues due to one’s low esteem issues 4) Suffering a burnout from what used to be your dream job 5) Experiencing disappointments in your life 6) Friends who left you, abandoned you, outcasted you 7) Stressful relationships with your in-laws 8) Impatient husband who frequently engage in arguments with you 9) Lack of family support in whatever you are doing Is there anything I have learnt from these experiences? I’m grateful to be in a lower paying job (but happier environment), learnt to be grateful for what I have in life. Happy to be living a simpler life without the need to pursue my dream job. Or rather, I have learnt to lower my self-expectations immensely and love myself more. I try not to be a perfectionist and do not compare with other people about our life situations, because everyone is different. Whether my environment has forced me to become a certain way… I think I just want a simple life now. I have toned down a lot and no longer am the career-driven or ambitious person that I was in my early 20’s. |

@AmyCake
Are these failures in your life you have listed or are they life lessons? It sounds like, after everything you have been through, you now know what you really want. That seems like a blessing to me because many people have no clue what they really want and sometimes don’t realize until it’s too late. As a young person who has suffered a lot early on in life, maybe you’ve paid your dues up front so to speak? Maybe there are smoother roads up ahead? You never know. ![]() |

I am very sorry you are struggling. These struggles likely make you very strong and resilient.
You are only 30 and happier times are ahead. You still have time to find dream job, happy relationships (I am sorry I read about your marriage and personally think you deserve better), better friends etc At 30 your whole life is still ahead of you. You are very bright and insightful |

Thank you everyone for your encouraging replies. I feel that these are positive words that i have to keep reminding myself, because my life is filled with so much negativity, it can be very difficult to find optimism admidst all the pain/negativity. i am trying very hard to stay hopeful but meet with obstacles on many occasions.
Yes, i do agree that there is still a long journey of life ahead of me, but i am currently feeling stuck with the hardship. I wish that i could move ahead and rise above these difficulties. Hoping... |

Life isn't an examination to pass or fail at. In the end we all die. There is no other purpose to life than to live and help live. And life is really simple until we ourselves complicate it, with guilt, fear, stress and ambition. This is what I tell myself when I'm feeling down.

Everyone has failures in their lives. Some have a failure with their careers, stressful work, family and relatives. or lack of support from their loved ones. I have mine too.
