I'm a runner. I run away when things get tough. Always have. Maybe it's a life lesson to stay and deal but again I'm wanting to run.

I'm on wound care for my mom. Meaning i see her every day to pack and wrap a wound. Ack i want to get away. But I can't there's no one to do it but me. She can't reach it herself. And it's gross it's troublesome, and it's daily. Until it heals and it's been a week at this point several weeks before.

She's diabetic so things heal slower. We thought it was healing she got put in the hospital. For 3 days. Now they're talking about surgery because I'm not packing it good enough.

There's all these steps. It's taking over my life.

I have a friend that had a wound problem like that. She was able to get visiting nurse services to have the wound packed/wrapped. She also had some sort of machine to help clean out the wound. I think she was on Medicare. Obviously, I have no idea about your mother's insurance situation and what is covered, but it might be worth it to ask.

They said she's not stuck at home so they can't have a nurse come in. She is on medicare.

What do you mean she is not stuck at home?

They can’t expect you to do would care as if you are a medical professional. What if you didn’t life in the area? Would they send a nurse then?

I am sure they’d figure it out. Personally I’d not take that task on. I am not medically trained. You might do more harm than good performing nurse tasks without proper training
Thanks for this!

Mom had surgery today. They put stitches in. No more wound care! I was getting stressed so glad to be done with that.
