so for those who haven't been following me lately -> i've been having some unique symptoms the past several months, including some neuro symptoms like dropping objects from my hands (without letting go of them)!
a few days ago, i was holding two pieces of 'semi' old glass- comparing the designs on them. out of nowhere, the smaller piece dropped from my hand and broke on the floor! ![]() i don't know what happened but i couldn't do anything the rest of the evening/night! and i can't explain it either. it's kinda like i emotionally/mentally just turned off or shut down! it was strange. could that have been some sort of emotional shock or something like that?? as in the 'rest of me' realized how 'bad' my hands-symptoms had gotten and there's not much i can do about it. any ideas?? it was just weird and i've got no way to know if it'll happen again (that reaction). |

Are you on any meds? I’d talk to my doctor ASAP if I started dropping objects.

I'd go to a doctor and get checked out.

Could be a small stroke?

I'm sorry I wouldn't have any idea what this is all about. I agree with the other repliers that it's something to talk over with your physician(s). Are you, by any chance, a member of PC's sister website: "NeuroTalk"? If you're not, perhaps you might consider signing in there & asking about this. Here's a link just in case you're not familiar with it:

One of the questions my pdoc always asks is, "Have you had any problems with dropping anything?"
I don't know what (if any) meds you're on. Whatever your med situation, I agree with others. Please consult with your doctor.

thanks everyone for your concerns and thoughts!!!
i am working with a doctor, who knows my new symptoms including dropping things. the 'incident' i described was the first time i dropped something 'big' - as in more than just plastic or paper. i guess that's why i thought the reaction i had was just cuz of "seeing" what could be/was truly happening. i hadn't yet considered this could be something majorly serious - as in like a stroke or seizure type thing. ![]() ![]() 2 1/2 months ago, my local physician did mention the ideas of maybe m.s., or brain lesions (given my brain injury history) - upon my request for some ideas as to what was going on. at any rate, it's turning into an emotional roller-coaster -> creating one h**l of a ride! one i don't want to be on and am not sure i can handle... ![]() |

Yes, it sounds like a lot to handle. A single step at a time and keep breathing in a healthy way. Best to you, jrae.
