Hi there, my partner for 29yrs has decided he wants to separate instead of working on our issues. This shocked me. I have been having severe anxiety, unable to sleep or eat. My doctor gave me a prescription for 2mg of Valium 3 times a day, I only started them yesterday and they have only worked for about 3hrs. My body is totally stressed, my mind is terrified to be alone. Has anyone any tips or their own experiences that could advice me.
Many kind regards 😊

How you feel is so understandable. This is grief. Your home base person left you and is gone. That is even physically painful. Give this, what you're going through and are going to go through, time, and lots if it, and kindness to yourself, too. Right now you need to self soothe in healthy ways (some ideas: warm bath, cozy blankets, animals, music) and and be around others even if just on zoom. You will get through this. Just give yourself lots of time and lots of kindness.

Thanks for this!

I went through withdrawal with AA, alcoholics anonymous. I had no choice but to find other people for support. This is a time to reach out. To talk to whoever will listen. That is how I coped then and I still use human interaction and belief in my higher power to this day.
Thanks for this!
