Things at work are so bad— Wednesday was horrible. We got screamed at by someone because we didn’t have Adderall to fill their prescription (news flash: NO ONE has Adderall; there’s been a nationwide shortage of both the brand and the generic for the past few months). He kept yelling until the cops came and escorted him out of the store. Then a lady called saying that we dispensed someone else’s Wegovy to her, wrong strength, wrong directions, label had the other person’s name and personal info on it, everything. To make things worse, she actually called that person in a panic and let them know that she had gotten their med. I couldn’t go in yesterday. I just couldn’t. It was so awful and it’s going to stay that way. Nothing will change. It sucks because the people I work with in the pharmacy are awesome. The worst part is that I’m starting not to care. And that freaks me out, because as much as I hate my job, I don’t want to kill anyone. I’ve applied for jobs in other fields— there’s a stagehand tech job that pays really well and I did a lot of that stuff in high school and college. I’ve also applied for entry-level design and artist jobs. No luck just yet. I guess I just have to wait… Thing is, I don’t know how much longer I can hang on.

So sorry to hear about your work place woes! That's where a lot of folks spend their most waking hours, so when it's bad, it makes life miserable!

Someone I work with is married to a pharmacist who was asked if she'd be interested in working at a Cannabis dispensary. They are growing rapidly in our area. I wonder if that is something you could explore. Although it depends on what state you live in of course. Good luck!

Thank you but i have no desire to work in any type of pharmacy anymore, including dispensaries.
