After about 20 sessions of ECT its now working. Monthly maintenance shocks scheduled. Now entering grad school double major in chemistry and materials science. One month ago I was 15 seconds from killing myself.
Thanks for this!

I'm so glad ECT is working for you! That's great news!

Hope things continue to get better and better!

You are taking big steps, not only in your educational goals, but your therapy. Take care of yourself and I hope-if you need to, you can spread your courses over time a bit, to give yourself some space for you.

Awesome! Way to go for you!

I'm glad it's working. It didn't work for me~~I had 12 sessions, but I stopped them for fear it would impact my memory. Hope it continues to help and you will not need it at some point!

Glad to hear that ECT is working for you and I hope it leads you down the path to recovery. In my experience it seems to be a fifty fifty ratio on whether it is effective for most people

Did you have any memory lapses? How long into the treatment before you started to feel better. I have had 6 weeks of TMS, Monday through Friday, and I had very little success with that. I'm afraid of ECT.

I refused to have ECT for the second time due to the memory loss I had the first time but now am wondering if I should have done it anyway. Nothing seems to be helping my mood anymore. Go back to the dr. next week. I am starting to feel s...c...l at times but it doesnt last long so I think I can wait it out. Continued good luck to you
