|
Once again I sit here observing someone (same person as before) on one forum who is planning to try suicide and someone else on another forum who is very close to it. I can not do this again. The person who is close to it; she and I have become friends so it is so much more painful to me. Need some support please

I care sweetie. I'm sorry you have to go through this. Sometimes it's a little scary to be on this site, but I know you make a difference to your friends and the people you support. Just remember to take care of yourself too.

 I know this is all very hard for you right now and I know you're really worried, but please do something for yourself, even something small like a bubble bath or a hot cup of cocoa or a funny movie. You can't be there for others if you're not there for yourself, and I don't want you sinking any further because you've forgotten to be kind to yourself as well as all the kindness you have for others.

~hugs~ If you are very close alert someone in her family. Call the police to do a welfare check on her other then that you can't control another person's decisions.
I hope she gets the help she desperately needs

Bearchic 34 is right - you cant control another persons decisions - you can encourage them to get help - you can talk til you're blue in the face - but in the end its their decision and you are not responsible for that -
you can only do what you can - listen - encourage them to get help - try to show them that there is hope - talk to anyone you can - site admin - firends family - ask them to contact friends and family or a help line or go to an emergency room or call an ambulance - I know this willl be stuff you ahve done or thought of - so I dont know why I am posting this - you are not alone in this - take care of yourself too ok -

I know it is hard to see people struggling. I have seen many many people come and go on these forums. All you can do is your best to support. You cannot control someone elses life but know that whatever you do to help does make a difference. It is impossible to have a positive outcome for everyone so go easy on yourself and know that you tried.

As of now one person I have not heard from; the other person, my friend, is still okay. She is not out of the suicidal feelings, but she saw the posts from myself and her other forum friends. One thing I have learned from this you need to support the person in pain and also the people who support the person in pain. I appreciate all the support you have given me. Made it easier to get through this time.
