I think it's setting in. No no no no no! I feel so heavy and sad and there's no reason for it at all. I think I'm going to cry.

I was doing so well. And now I'm trying to fight it, I'm trying to distract myself, but I can't and I feel so alone and why does it have to hit NOW, when I'm finally finished my exams, when I'm finally starting to pack to go home, when I'm finally done with all of this year's **** and I'm on my way to a BREAK.

I hate this.

no no no no no ...

Maybe you pushed it away to get the exams done, and now the mood will not stay away. Remember this?
"So I was wondering, when my next slump hits (hopefully not for a while!!) if someone remembers this post, could you remind me that I AM capable of feeling good, that I actually POSTED about feeling good, and that my slumps do end ... I'd be eternally grateful."
Hope you feel better soon.

I too wish I could just reach through this reply button, grasp your depression and shatter it in cyberspace. Short of that, I wish you a short, shallow episode.

By the way, have you documented your more pronounced depressive episodes? Can you tell on average how long they last? No pressure to share that information; I ask because sometimes it can be at least somewhat reassuring to enter a dark time with some statistical idea of how long you'll probably have to endure it.

Best wishes for a fulfilling and restful break!

Thanks, everyone.

And thanks leacon, the reminder really helped.

It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Maybe I'm getting used to it. Couldn't get out of bed until almost 3PM and my concentration's absolutely shot -- it feels like I have all the symptoms but the emotionality. I can't be around people and I'm really impatient today, but I'm not as miserable as I normally am, just sort of tired and distracted. The only way I can describe it is that it feels like the depression's being gentle with me, if that makes sense. I hope that continues because my counsellor's mother is sick and she's away until after I go home. I can handle most of the symptoms fine on my own as long as the misery stays at bay.

Thanks again for your support, everyone. Here's hoping this round of lowness doesn't last too long.

Justfloating,
I'm sorry your feeling bad now that you are free from school. I hope you feel better soon. Could you plan something with friends for when you go home? I try to plan something to look forward to when I feel down and am going through changes and feeling down. I hope you feel better!
Thanks for this!
