My meds are working. My intrusive images and thoughts are less loud, a lot less loud. I am not obsessing as much. I am not ruminating. Then WHY AM I SO DEPRESSED?
It's like i traded in DISTRESSED for DEPRESSED.
At first i liked the stillness the meds gave me, now all i feel like doing is laying around staring into space feeling so so low.

Myself , If I had a choice , it would be the depression.
As bad as depression can be. That's just me.
Hope your feeling better soon . Take Care

My meds too are helping with my anxiety, but not really with my depression. I just lie around all day too. I want the happy, energetic part already.
Thanks for this!

Sorry you are feeling so bad. But know you are not alone. I know how your meds can make you feel--and sometimes they are not the ones that work for you. I do not know how long you have been on your meds. But I would check with your doc. Maybe they are too strong or not strong enough.

Whatever the case, it is not your fault. Sometimes depression is so bad that we cannot see through. It lies to us and makes us think all sorts of things that are not true. I know the feeling of just lying around feeling soo low and starring into space. It just seems to take the life right out of you.

Have you done something kind for you? You deserve to do that. Sometimes that will get you up. Do you journal or draw or anything? That too can give you an out to get your feelings down. Sometimes it takes all the energy you have, but just getting outside for a while or a short walk can help.

I know how depression can grab you and not let go before you even realize it has you. But you reached out here and we are listening and hearing you. You are not alone. Just the littlest thing like reaching out here on PC is important. Just to know you are not alone makes a difference too.

Keep posting and breathing. You are important and we care. I hope this feeling lifts for you, but until then know we are walking right beside you.

I'm sort of in the same place. I know my meds are working, but I don't feel "better" either. It's frustrating!

Sending lots of hugs.

I'm sorry this is the case, but posting what you are feeling and experiencing is valuable for all here. As you have the strength, please continue the updates.

We're with you and appreciate your efforts to give voice to what so many of us share in our own ways.

((((Berries)))) I was on prozac for years and it worked so well for me in the beginning....about 5 years ago I realized that I just really didn't feel much of anything anymore so my Pdoc added wellbutrin..That helped for a while, but for the last couple of years...it's just not working anymore... My advice would be to go back for a medication "tweek"...I know I need to do that probably. It's just so hard to find the energy when you feel so tired.....

We should try to be patient with meds. They need some time to show their full effects and if they are antidepressants , they can take a hell lot of time.
I can understand your situation..i too have battled ocd and depression.
take care. Try to read jokes on internet..they are helpful
