Does anyone else hate the night too? I absolutely hate and dread the night. I'm always depressed but I get even more depressed once the sun goes down. I hate/don't want to wake up the next day.
My cat is the only one keeping me alive.

Anyone else here feel as though their animal or animals is the only one keeping them alive?

Autumn01....I can relate 100% with you! I am more of a night person but lately I do not like nights. I can tolerate the day since it is light out, but once the sun goes down. I have three cats. I have one that seems to know my moods and will come cuddle with me or lay right next to me. I tell myself if it weren't for them I might not be here. If I were gone who would take them? They were all rescue cats.

Yes, I understand and know what you are feeling. It seems we cannot sleep at night as it is very scary and it feels as though you cannot breath or see for the darkness surrounding you. Know you are not alone and we are sitting with you through the darkness. The morning will always come back. Keep writng and sharing. We do care and are here for you.

Although I have no pets at this time--I know how they can be comforting and can keep you going. I understand.

to the night part; most definitely. and its the not being able to distract yourself either. but then its the feeling of having gotten through another day... if you just focus on that you managed to get through this day, as hard as its been, you dont tend to feel as bad as thinking about days to come. at least for me.
hope it gets easier,
x

Absolutely. As soon as the sun sets I can feel a significant change in my mood. Which is a bit difficult since I sleep through most of the day...

And oh yes, I can relate to how you feel about your pet. My dog, Snickers, has been getting me through for the past four years now. I cannot image where I would be without him. Aren't pets simply the greatest?

The nights are close and dark and void. I can stay up all night knowing nothing will disturb me.

The days I hate. They are filled with life and living, which I try to avoid. I am told life and living are good things to do, but I am less and less convinced about this.

I also hate the night. I can strongly relate to the feelings you describe. You are not alone. Big hugs for you.
