Well I thought that meds were helping but there not. They have slowed the cycles a little bit. But on this med I get a really fast heart rate. The T said that at this point they can't do anything more to help. Am also about to lose my job because the place is shutting the doors. I am at the point again that the depression is telling to just end it all. I know that is not what I really want but is so hard not to listen. My cycles are not as often but they now last longer.
I know that this propably makes no sense but I had to get it out.

I'm sorry this is happening to you... But can't you ask for a second opinion? How can there not be anything they can do to help?

I wish you to feel better very soon

Life ??? None of us will ever figure that one out
What you say makes alot of sense to someone who
is depressed . I would definitely get another opinion.
If my T said that to me I would want to give up too.
But there are good T's out there and the people here
are very supportive also . Take care and good luck

Thanks for all your responces. I am working on finding a different T. But when you live like 6 hours to the nearest town it is difficult. I am just glad that I found this site, it really lets me express feelings and in return I get encouragement. Thanx

Hey Bera.....

I've experienced this too with Anti-D's. They work pretty good for some time and then it seems like it starts to drop off.....

Not meaning to throw meds at you, but sometimes if you add an extra med to your regime for a little bit of time it can kick-start the Anti-D's.

I know when mine stopped working, my prescriber started me on Lexapro, which can be taken with some other Anti-D's. It works well for some. It didn't work out for me, but we tried an Anti-psychotic after that and that one helped quite a bit. Not saying you're psychotic, but sometimes when these meds are added onto the med regimen in low doses, they can provide a good booster.

My only other suggestions are to see if you can modify your diet or sleep habits, maybe try to increase your physical activity, or try to add a craft or something you may find enjoyment in into your routine.

I think looking for a new T is a good idea too. You need someone that will be a good advocate for you and from what you have described it doesn't sound like this T is working out to well.

Take care....

Hang in there and know you are okay. We are here for you and do care. I am sorry you are feeling this way. Please do try to talk to someone else for a second opinion. There is help out there. I am glad you found this site also. There are alot of caring and supportive people here. You do deserve to be heard and helped. Don't listen to the depression. It lies to us and you can beat it. Please keep posting and let us know how you are doing. We do care.
