Depression is an illness just like any other illness it can consume who we are. It lies to us and tells us that we are worthless, hopeless, no good to anyone, weak, dumb, uninteresting etc. This makes us feel sad, lonely, unhappy, ashamed of who we are, guilty, stupid, unworthy, angry, etc. All of this because of an illness that we can fight. I know that it is hard to do but we have to fight depression to go on. For some of us depression feels like a never ending illness and maybe it is I don't know but we have to fight it. That is how I found PC. I came to PC looking for answers on the web. I still don't have the answers for this illness but I know that I am fighting it and that I am not alone. Just by coming here each day I know in my own mind that I am fighting and I will continue this fight until I beat depression or get it under control. I guess what I am trying say is don't be ashamed of your illness or how you feel there are others out here that do understand, I just wish I had the cure. Thanks for listening to me again. Hugs to all on PC.

I fought mine, the hardest fight of my life and I have been in remission for over 3 years now. I manage to feel happy, even on a bad day. There really is light at the end of the depression tunnel.

Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long.
Thanks for this!

This just brought a smile to my face. So happy to hear there is hope. So very happy that you are able to keep depression away from your door.
Thanks for this. Hugs for your day.
