Hi everyone, I'm new to psych central and wanted to say hey. Well I hope I can find support here, and I also hope to start counseling soon to treat my depression. Problem is, I have no idea how to start. I'm 18, don't go to school, dropped out of high school, don't work, and have NO insurance. I guess u could say I need help getting my life on track. Unfortunately my depressed state of mind has caused me to ruin my high school career. I just don't want it to ruin the rest of my life.

Hi KingoPaz, welcome to PC

I'm glad you've joined. I think you'll find a lot of support here, and I hope you keep us posted on how you're doing. You CAN get your life on track despite your depression -- I know it feels impossible now, but that's the depression lying to you. You're still young and you've got all the potential that comes with youth, even if it doesn't always feel like it. Sending lots of hugs if that's okay. I hope you keep us posted on how you're doing.
