I don't feel good about much any more, depression has really got me in a tail spin. I do know this and I probably might be speaking for others here. Most of the time "I don't know" is my answer to everything but I have been thinking today after getting a thank you PM. I feel good when someone sends me a thank you PM, someone answers my threads, someone sends me a hug, someone responds to my post to a thread, people read my threads. So thank you to all who have made me feel good.

I guess what I am saying is if someone answers your thread hit the thank you button or respond to it. If you read an answer to a thread that you like, hit the thank you button. If you really like what someone has said send them a PM. I already know that many of us do this and that is great. It helps me so much and it makes me want to come back to write some more.
I thank you all for making me feel better. I also want to say that I am also sorry to the posters that I do not get to answer, there are just to many on PC for one to read them all. Hugs to everyone. and thank you for making me feel better about myself.
Thanks for this!

alaskan...what a thought provoking topic...at least for me.

I agree, hearing (or seeing in the case of a cyber forum) someone acknowledging what you have shared, which is sometimes quite difficult, can have a strikingly uplifting effect on anyone. It can be especially important and impactful to those who rarely have hugs in their personal lives, and for whom the phone rarely rings. (As with most weekends, mine has not rung all weekend.)

Weekends are the worst time of the week for me. Despite the fact that I can truly see the 'light at the end of the tunnel' for myself and my depression, weekends are still and may always been the hardest time of the week for me. Just typing these words brings tears to my eyes.

During the weekdays I feel sort of, but no longer greatly, needed by my cyber friends who have been a part of my Parkinson's life for a good ten years now (dxd in 1994.) But on the weekend, not surprisingly, the emails dry up and PD forum participation also slows down significantly.

It becomes a very lonely time for this very lonely 60 yr old, but I am working on this problem here on the home front. Fortunately, this forum continues to move.

So, having said all of this, I agree very much with what alaskan has said.

Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face. I care too for you and all who come to PC for help and understanding. I wish I could help every one and put a smile on their faces even just for a moment. Hugs for your day..

Good friends are like stars,

I write my threads on how I feel, what I have learned or what I have seen. By writing down how I feel, what I have learned, what I have seen. I can maybe help someone else and myself at the same time.

Very very very sorry I made you cry and to hear of your illnesses. If I could I would make them go away. Now I have tears in my eyes, I am so very sorry.

(((((bigcasper))))) I for one thank you for your posts. They are always very informative, helpful and honest. I like to read what you write and it has helped me more than I can say. Thank You again - hugs for your day.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
