I am feeling lonely and needy. Hubby is at work so I am home alone and sometimes when I am alone that is when my worst"demons' seem to take over. By demons I mean that inner voice of mine that says not very supporting things. Things like - you are not good at your job, you are not a good wife, you have no reason to be depressed... so just snap out of it and on and on..... UGGHHH my mind is kinda racing so going to stop for now.

Thanks for listening

Karen I know for me that my alone times are the worst. Can you go outside and take a walk? I find that when the sun is shining I do better at being alone. I'm sending good vibes your way.

I'm sorry you're feeling lonely. It's a horrible feeling, and Like you say, it can lead to bad thoughts all too easily. I agree with what Jannie says, maybe going out for a walk will be a good distraction and will help lift your mood.

Thank you everyone - you all have made me feel better. I did about 2 hours of housework so that did help. House looks good too.

Karen,
its not company but to shut up random unwelcome voices sometimes it works for me to get a puzzle book angd do logic problems and crosswords and that stuff. it sometimes engages every one in a sibling rivalry of who is smartest.

Hi Nerak,

I'll add my 2p to everyone here: the certain kind of loneliness that comes with depression is definitely the pits.

For a long time now I've been working at being my own best friend. It's a slow process but it's a good way to go IMHO.

Good thoughts to you, Myzen.
