I want everyone to know,
I'd like depression to go.

I just what to be me,
depression free.

I really don't want to share,
why I pull out my hair.

I want to wake,
without having to fake.

What depression has done to me,
I don't want anyone to see.

How sick it makes me,
I just what to live depression free.
Thanks for this!

((((depressedalaskan))))

We are hearing you and listening. We understand and care. Everytime you write, you are pushing that depression back another step. Keep pushing. I am willing to carry it for you so you can have a break if I could. You do not deserve this. Depression does not care who it hits, what it does, or that it lies to us.

Everyday you wake you, and you put one foot in front of the other----you make another step. Take baby steps----do something kind for yourself----and remember to BREATH. Know we are walking beside you as you walk through this.

Sending you gentle hugs my friend and good thoughts. Always.

dps

Hi Depressedalaskan,
you mentioned your hair is falling out. Pardon me because I don't now if you're a man or woman - we all know why men's hair falls out so I won't talk about that, but if you're a woman then you should have your thyroid tested. Low thyroid can also cause depression. I also know that Alaska doesn't get as much sunlight as the rest of the country and have you considered if you have seasonal affective disorder(SAD). You should also request a blood test to measure your vitamin D. If you're not in the sun enough then most people aren't getting enough and this vitamin plays a role in depression and overall health. Everyone should have their vitamin D levels checked. Vitamin D also prevents cancer. Another supplement that's crucial in an Omega 3 Fatty Acid supplement(fish oil) - this is very important to the brain.
I wondering if you exercise at all. If you don't then please start even if you don't feel like it. After a few months you'll be amazed how much better you'll feel. I hope you will try the suggestions I gave you and I hope you feel better soon.

I am a man. Just had a blood test everything shows OK. Summer here is light all the time and I was in Michigan last winter. Exercise/ this I do need to work on as I do not do much anymore. But before the new year I did. Not sure what has gotten into me. Thanks for the ideas and thoughts. Everyone who responds to a thread is why this place (PC) is so great. I thank you very much and all others on PC. Hugs for your day.
Thanks for this!
