An older friend of mine gave me a hug today ....
I had to turn away so I would cry right there... had to leave...
Guess I needed that hug....
I miss the connection

It's great to receive a hug. Is there any change of meeting up with this person again? If so, maybe this could be a start to a new connnections with them.

I'm glad you were able to get a hug, even if you can't see them again. Take care.

May the memory of that hug soon be joined by many other "huggy memories"!

((((jacq10)))) I'm glad you got that hug - even though it made you feel sad.

(((Jacq)))) lonely feelings are some of the hardest i ever had to deal with... coming to PC let me know there were many others who felt as i did and the kindness and caring i received here helped me to feel that someday, somewhere out there, i would eventually meet someone with the compassion and understanding to bridge the gap of separateness i felt from others... it is not like a real life hug but believe that we care here and i pray and hope for you that in time, you will meet others who you can feel this deep connection with in person... for now i hope these thoughts for you might be enough to keep you connected to yourself and your own hopes of finding what you are looking for

It think that's why God gave us two arms. So we could give out hugs to family, friends and those in need.

Yes, yes, off topic. Have you seen that video on YouTube about the Australian fellow born with no arms and no legs? He's in a ministry now and merely leans forward and asks for hugs cuz he can't initiate them! Wonderful sense of humor. Wish I could remember his name, will try to find it and post it. It's amazing! Give's new meaning to the importance of hugs.

Here it is:

Nick Vujicic- No arms no legs no problem.

What an outstanding person, you really should see this, very inspiring but also sad. I have arms and legs but it is my mind that is crippled. I so suck.
