At one time in my life I used to be so busy that I didn't even like to stop to eat or go to the bathroom. I always thought it was a waist of time. Now I don't eat so i don't have to go to the bathroom much and I do nothing. How sad I am.

Contrasting what was with what is. It's almost like looking at two different people. Oh, I discern continuity, but the differences are significant.

I'm sorry you're sad Depressedalaskan. I'm curious, though: do you wish to return to the old you, or are you looking towards a third you?

Me, my memory dims and imagination weakens; I'm forgetting who I was, and I can barely envision a new me. And even if I experience brief, imaginary visions of a new me, there's no reserve of energy to overcome present reality's inertia.

But my state doesn't affect my commitment to the Depressedalaskan who is, who will be.

I hope you're eating something. I moved to a (slightly) bigger town so that I could get food even when I was too down to fix something. I keep V-8 and orange juice around so that I have something I can easily "fix" if I'm even too down to walk a block and get a sandwich. Cashews and almonds in a can are good, too. I keep the cashews (broken ones, cheaper) by the V-8, so if I get enough energy to have a V-8, maybe I'll grab some protein, too.
Thanks for this!

I can totally relate. I'm sorry you feel this way. ((((((((((Alaskan)))))))))))

(Have you been continuing to look into alternative treatments, other than meds? You spoke of it before and said they don't do them in Alaska.)

You're not hungry because you're depressed. Try to eat anyway, even if it's just a little. Drinking juice is easier for me when I'm like that -- easier to swallow.
Thanks for this!

((((alaskan)))) ...I know you feel sad at the moment but you're not a sad person...you're a wonderful, caring person who is listening to that nasty voice depression atm yes?

I'm not much help to anyone myself just now but I just want you to know I do care and hope you can feel better soon.

Hugs and wishes for you.

Thank you, this is one of the first things I learned when my depression hit me so hard years ago. I have stuff at my finger tips right infront of me so that I will nibble. Thank you for caring and the reminder. Hugs for your day.

Sorry you're having a hard time (((((depressedalaskan))))). I think the old you is still there, just obscured by the fog. Here's hoping for clearer days ahead.
