I'm not feeling well mentally.

I looked up the moon cycles - it was the beginning of a full moon less than 24 hours before I REALLY lost it. Maybe that has something to do with it.

This morning I got out of bed but just barely. I was AFRAID of getting out of bed. The cats....

my journal entry today (minor trigger warning) - http://turquoisesea.livejournal.com/

I need therapy... I need help... I need so much that I'm not getting....

I wish I could give you more than just words my friend as I know they can sometimes feel empty and just not enough. I do understand how much effort it takes to keep going sometimes. Last night I found out my grandfather is in the hospital and pretty sick with internal bleeding and such and I can't even take his great grandson to see him because of H1N1 regulations. So that's wearing on my mind in that maybe I should have gone sooner or more often and now do I go and have my wife stay outside with the baby...

Sorry I didn't mean to start spouting my own things and such. Let me just send you hugs and wishes that today gets a little better for you my friend.

So sorry to hear that Turquoise. Sometimes life can just feel completely overwhelming and I really do understand and can appreciate how you feel. Do what you need to do today. An old boss of mine always said how sometimes it's good to take a "mental health day" instead of just a day off because then we can focus on treating ourselves good instead of doing all the misc. **** we never get time or energy to do on other days.

[try to] Be well my friend.

Chris

I love what your old boss said. That's amazing. I feel guilty when I feel I need time off for this - my mom ingrained it for a long time. Since she found out I have depression, over the summer she would never believe I was "sick". I rarely run temperatures and she's just say I was not being responsible.

Turns out I'm also SICK too.... I got sicker at work so I finally left a little early. Felt like I was going to fall flat on the floor, my nose was runny and I was sneezing *no good at a restaurant*. People started to notice so at least I felt I had a valid excuse.

on the better side of the news, my bf and I set up a time to meet with someone about an apartment - if it works out it would be an AMAZING lifestyle change because there'd be a bedroom to lock the cats in or out of, so that when I NEED I can get space

Thank you everyone

I hope you feel better soon. It's definitely a good idea to take some "mental health time" even if you can just give yourself an hour out of the day. Good luck with your apartment hunting, let us know how it goes!

Sorry to hear on top of everything else you're physically not feeling good either but as you said, it gave you a valid excuse to get out early and take care of yourself my friend. Never feel guilty for taking time for yourself to recharge, heal, and find peace. That's all we really have is ourselves and despite popular work ethics, if I was a manager I'd rather have healthy employees at work and let the others go home so they can get better faster.

I REALLY hope the apartment works out for you two and your cats. I love them to D but wow can they really be sleep disturbing with anything that crinkles. haha

So glad you have a bit of joy in your heart now Turquoise. May that joy spread more and more everyday within you.

I love cats too, but yes, sometimes one needs privacy even from them, and they CAN be annoying when they get in that mood. I hope you feel better soon, TS and makesure you spoil yourself rotten until you are healthy again!
Thanks for this!
