Hi, Friends! It's not bad enough that my old pdoc - who was excellent - is going to be gone in a few days, moving on to a larger city. But his replacement is a nurse practicioner that I worked with at the nearby state psychiatric hospital for 17 years! And she's younger than me. Do I enter with a cane, hat and Charlie Chaplin walk? No, then she'd revamp my meds - which will probably happen anyway. And here I thought I was at least stable in my deep depression. Who expected this. Maybe I could appear with a sack over my head and make her guess who - no she would have my chart - dress in ostrich costume - no . . . I know, I'll just tell her to get on with the ECT and get it over with. What could be worse? AArrrrrrrgggghhhh! billieJ

try to walk on steady legs with your head held high, hun! she will most likely remember you as the sweet caring and intelligent person you are. it's not an ideal situation and it would certainly make me feel nervous... but you can do it... I have faith in you.
