It's almost 1AM. I'm staring at the wall, thinking about how sad everything is and listening to Marlyn Manson. I have to go to work tomorrow, which means I have less than 6 hours left until I have to get up, but I still can't make myself go to bed. This whole weekend was so strange... Have you ever felt like you can't distinguish between your feelings and feeling of other people. Like... you know someone is angry, but you can't figure out if it's you or others, or both...

Yes, absolutely! I tend to "catch others' feelings". It's one of the reasons for my isolating. I read where this can be due to what some psychologists call "weak psychological boundary strength". Well, that's what some say. I'm slowly researching and working my way to some halfway satisfactory understanding of the phenomenon.

3velniai, no matter why you/we experience this, I wish you real rest in spite of it.

Yep! People have a way of mirroring each other's affects which often extends to feeling the same feelings, even if we don't know that we are picking up on the other person's "vibes". I can be triggered to a hypomania being around someone else who is manic/hypomanic. Hasn't happened in a while, but it has. People will even cry when seeing someone else cry. I think people who have tendencies to get depressed are very sensitive to other's signals and can be a bit over responsive, as Rohag says.
Much huggs! It's an irritating phenomenon but excellent when it comes to working with people, if you can tun it off and come home without the extra emotions.
