I'm sort of wondering about how I've been feeling lately. I've been on an anti-depressant medicine for a while now, probably since the beginning of september or so. At first it definitely did improve my energy, but now, I'm still taking it and I just feel like my energy is so low all of the time. I've also been having trouble lately concentrating and focusing, getting motivated, stuff like that. Do I just need to work on my skills in those areas...or is there something else, something physical also going on? Or, could this still just be a bunch of grief and stuff like that just working itself out, and doing so through physical symptoms. It's so confusing, I just want to know how to be feeling better.

I've been taking better care of myself, or trying to at least, lately. I started working out really consistently this past month, and I think that has been helping a lot. I think I need to try to keep doing that as I go along, try to keep taking really good care of myself.

I have another appointment with the psychiatrist soon too I think, maybe this coming Friday. I did a blood test last time, because I think he wanted to check some of my other levels, to make sure that something physical or something wasn't also causing my fatigue. I guess we'll see what they found. Otherwise, who knows. I may be changing the med that I take at night, the seroquel, to something else, that isn't so drowsy causing...that actually helps more with depression. But we'll see, it's all about trial-and-error, I guess, at least that's what it feels like these days. Trying different things, seeing what works. Amazing that I'm still able to function and keep going with my education through all of this.

Glad I have this place for some support.

That sort of thing always happens to me when I start a new medicine (ok, some are different). Things will be better for say 2-3 weeks maybe even 2 months and then I will slowly start to slide back down into the no energy zone. Usually when this happens my pdoc adjusts my meds or changes the med I'm on. I've also had my thyroid tested, but the test results didn't indicate anything that would make me tired.

Let us know what the pdoc says. I hate feeling exhausted all the time though, so I understand where you are coming from.

Reading your post brought memories flooding back. I had the same problem a few years back . Constant fatigue and lack of motivation allll the time. I got on Prozac and it started to help but after a while those feelings came back so (great idea here) they uped the dose and I became I zombie. It was bad before but I've never experienced anything like I did during that time.if you think your meds are having a negative effect and it's outweighing the good don't hesitate to say so.definetly worth it in the long run.hope your wellcarrie xo

Hopefully your pdoc can help you out, I struggle with the no energy thing too so I know it can be awful. It's good that you are exercising and taking good care of yourself.
