If i do lose my job it will be for a stupid reason. Basically i've been written up twice for stupid little things I didn't know about until after i made some stupid mistake.
Yesteday though, the cash register didn't print up paperwork for 2 different transactions. I didnt' think anything of it until today. One of the transactions was for a $60 return and the other was a credit card. I didin't think it was a big deal until I realized today, that there probably is no written record for those transactions now. And, I think that when i get to work tomorrow, I'll be written up again and will lose my job. Written up again for something stupid.

The thing is, I don't know what i'll do if i lose my job. I won't qualify for unemployment. and i only have about $8 to my name.

I just can't quit thinking about it and don't know what i'll do if i lose my job....

How long have you been at your job? Did you get adequate training? Maybe you could ask for some more help and tell them you are serious about the job but you are having a hard time? I know how scary it is to be between jobs and stressing money. Maybe you can consider options in the event your are let go. I know having to take a step back because something like this is hard but it happens to all of us at some point. Just try to be as prepared as possible and reach out if you need help.

If you are denied unemployment, as I once was, write a letter to the proper officials [the ones on the denial letter], stressing inadequate training and/or job stress. Or, if you have a psychiatric diagnosis, such as major depression, try applying for disability. I hope that you keep your job. Your username suggests that you work in a restaurant, and, having done this, I know that it is the most challenging of occupations. It sounds as though you made mistakes such as any of us might make. One of the reasons I was fired from fast-food management training was my inability to balance the cash register. I was denied unemployment, but wrote a letter stressing my acceptance for the job, despite inadequate prior experience and training, and I was then grantede unemployment. Here's hope you are still cafegirrl this time tomorrow. Caring about you! billieJ

Don't be so hard on yourself, everyone is entitled to make mistakes, that is why an eraser was invented. I hope that you are not fired and that they can give you some training or whatever you need. I look forward to reading that you are not let go.
Sending positive vibes your way.
