Hi,
I suffer from major depression along with several other mental health issues, and I'm trying to figure out how to cope with all of these things and still live my life, act like an adult, and have a normal relationship that doesn't involve my hubby getting mad because his 20 year old wife doesn't have the energy to wash some dishes. How 15 does that sound? Really, I need some help here. I really want to find some better coping skills. Any tips?

Welcome to PC - I live in Ontario too. Do you have a therapist and are you on medication? How long have you felt this way?

Have you sat down with Hubby and really explained what is happening with you, you are not alone, and perhaps he can understand if you really break it down. That is what the mental conditions will do, attack your core so that even the simplest task of washing dishes is very very overwelming. I am married too and on the days when my condition just gets the better of me, I have to lift up my hands and say to heck with the dishes. Either they stay in the sink till the time I can muster the energy to clean them or My hubby will do them. It's not about being 20, it's about having a difficult diagnosis that is very hard to live with. Don't be so hard on yourself. For better or worse as the marriage vows say, it's time he helped you.

Do you have a therapist? If so would he be willing to go with you?
Thanks for this!
